2026 – Sources
With Sorgenti (2026), the Festival concludes its three-year journey: from the affective mapping of the Territory to the complexity of coexistences, play now becomes the spring water shaping our way of being together.
This edition chooses to celebrate play as both a tool and a key, honoring its potential over the years to stitch tight bonds between Sotterranea and the valley community, because it points toward a way of relating, and stands as a source—a sorgente—to return to for mutual understanding.
From August 1st to 14th, 2026, the festival inhabits the Upper Valley as sarv, the archaic name of the Cervo torrent flowing through its mountainsides. Through a widespread program of concerts, workshops, and itinerant musical performances, the public is invited to traverse and listen to the spaces of the Upper Valley, letting themselves be cradled by the flow of artistic interventions.
From August 21st to 22nd in Piedicavallo—the last village of the Valley and the first touched by the Cervo torrent—a multidisciplinary musical and artistic ecosystem takes the shape of lüria, the legendary goddess-demon named in the local valley dialect, who for centuries has inhabited the waters of the Cervo torrent. A three-day program of live shows, DJ sets, performative interventions, walks, experimental cinema screenings, and workshops, alongside installations and devices that invite the collective participation of the public to temporarily reconfigure the space and time of the Village, just like the goddess-demon lüria when she emerges from the flooding waters of the Cervo torrent.
